Hi! I’m Kai, the person behind Paw & Pulse

Animals have pretty much always been a huge part of my life. I have four dogs and a cat of my own, and I also work in veterinary medicine, so between work and home, it’s safe to say I spend most of my life surrounded by animals

Paw & Pulse started because I wanted to create something that combined how much I love animals with how much I love doing little things to make them feel special. I’ve always been that person who thinks our pets deserve to be included in birthdays, holidays, and all the fun stuff we celebrate too. They’re family, so why shouldn’t they get presents?

I started by making custom dog birthday boxes, with absolutely no idea if anyone would actually want one. Then I got my first order, made a birthday box for a sweet Lab named Dolly, and Paw & Pulse suddenly became a real little business.

One of my favorite parts of making these boxes is that they aren’t all the same. Every dog has their own personality and their own favorite things. Some are obsessed with plushies, some would choose a tennis ball over literally anything, and some couldn’t care less about toys and just want the snacks That’s why every Paw & Pulse box is put together specifically for the pup receiving it, based on their size, personality, favorite things, colors, and food restrictions.

Paw & Pulse is still very new, and I’m figuring things out as I go, but I have so many ideas for where I want to take it. For now, I’m just really excited to make things that give people another excuse to celebrate their pets.
